My Mom is a Rockstar

Mom was diagnosed with cancer last fall (Fall 2008).   She is in the middle of chemotherapy right now and has lost most of her hair.
If you want to know more, go to www.caringbridge.org/visit/caroljordantaylor.

She focuses on today and trusting God in the moment.  Although we do hope the chemo is doing its job, we ultimately trust in God's plan for my mom's life.  Mom, I love you and admire your courage in this season!  I am so proud of you.

Trip to Seattle

Every mom needs a weekend away with each child from time to time.  I got the idea from a friend to take one child a year to go visit my sister and bro-in-law.  So, last year I took Anna Claire.  This year, I took George.  What a trip it was...so sweet to have special time with him and to see his face as he took his first plane ride that he could remember.

Over MLK weekend, George and I went to visit Hailey and Cam in Seattle.  It was such a fun trip.  We visited the Seattle zoo (like no other), took a ferry ride over to Bainbridge Island, played games, laugh, cooked together.  We left Friday morning (1/15) and returned Tuesday (1/19) at noon.  It was a gift for me to have a weekend away and to enjoy a special weekend with our oldest son, George; a memory hopefully we will both remember for a long time.

As always, it was a great time with Hailey and Cam. Hailey and I got to shop with Christmas money that we both had.  Shopping with Hailey is the best because she will tell me exactly what she thinks and get me amazing deals on super cool clothes.  George had a great time hanging with Uncle Cam and seeing him lead worship at Mars Hill Downtown on Sunday am.  He thought that was the coolest!
